This controller has 2 sides like joycon. But the main controller that has Bluetooth, battery and stuff is only on the left side, the right controller only functional if 2 of the controller attached each other with the grip like shown in the picture above.

Just to be clear, you've tried pairing this controller on the Change Grip/Order screen and nothing happens? No "Paired" notification or anything? Even unsupported controllers should still show up as paired, so if it doesn't, this can mean one of several things:

  1. Mission Control isn't actually running. Verify that you can connect another unofficial controller, or that connecting your left joycon wirelessly and pressing MINUS + DPAD_UP activates the capture button combo.

  2. You're not pairing correctly. Make sure you're on the Change Grip/Order screen mentioned above and that you're correctly following the controller's instructions for Bluetooth pairing. The manual for this one mentioned something about a Bluetooth switch you need to set.

  3. The controller is incompatible for some reason. This could be that it uses Bluetooth LE (currently unsupported by Mission Control), or that it uses an incompatible bluetooth chip that doesn't even show up to the Switch in discovery mode. You can verify whether a controller uses Bluetooth LE or not by pairing with eg. a Windows PC and checking the device properties.
