Add caret aligned to anchor

Hi, and thanks for creating this component. I was wondering if it's possible to have a caret automatically aligned to the anchor, like in the screenshot, and what would be a possible way to implement it in case.

In general I think any software is doable. 😄 Just a matter of effort. I see the challenges to be specifically aligning said caret to the anchor. Does anyone have a working example that could be folded in?

This lib offers that function out of the box https://github.com/joejordanbrown/popover maybe we could take some ideas from it?
