We do not currently have the initial clinical trial date for all investigational compounds. Obviously, this is of interest to know.

When we curate this information for recently approved drugs, to calculate their Clinical Development Time (https://drugs.ncats.io/newdrugs/), we use a variety of approaches to tease out this information by hand, including literature searches, clinicaltrials.gov, etc.

Integrity, Pharma Projects, and AdisInsight all provide some of this information and might be the quickest path to generate this data.

Hi Noel,

I am trying to track down clinical trial dates for investigational drugs, specifically dates associated with Phase 1. Does the NPC database includes dates associated with each drug? If so, what is the best way to pull these dates for a data set containing almost 8,000 approved and investigational drugs?

Thanks,
Todd
