[Feature Request] Configuring the path of the folders

Open xZabuzax opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

If we can configure the path of some files or folders in this emulator then that would be even better. I personally want to have a separate folder for the Saves and for the Save States, a lot of emulators out there provides these type of options, hopefully, this will be implemented in the near future!

I also noticed that the roms folder path doesn't get saved, every time you quit the emulator and open it again, the path of the roms folder reverts back to the default one, I would like to configure the path of the roms folder as well :)

I think it definitely makes sense to default to previously used folder. And maybe add an option to freeze the folder path? Have to think more about configurable folder for things like save files and states.

Hello @fleroviux

I don't know if I'm the only one in this regard but not being able to choose separate folders for saves and savestates is actually the main reason I'm holding back from using NBA as my main GBA emulator.

Now that I think about it, NBA is actually the only emulator out of 30 I use that put saves and such in the games folder I have.

Please consider adding this functionality in the future.

Thanks in advance!

In the latest nightly build, it is possible to configure a save folder that currently applies for both save games and save states. I'll consider separate folders for save states and save games once some kind of configuration dialog (for paths or in general) is implemented.
