Support for modular switches and routers

Environment

  • Nautobot version: 1.5.0
  • nautobot-ssot-ipfabric version: 2.0.0

Proposed Functionality

  • Add device components from the Inventory->Parts Numbers. And add them to the appropriate device bays.

  • Add in the Technology -> Platforms -> Stacks for the switches

Currently it does not add stacked switches or any of the interface modules (NIMS) in the routers.

Use Case

It would be used to move the modular switches and routers around in the inventory and keep better tabs on physical inventory.

Opened nautobot/nautobot-plugin-ssot#190 with lots of detail and to start a discussion on which route we should take.

I will be updating nautobot/nautobot-plugin-ssot#196 next with more details.
