Better documentation around interchangeability of GC features

Proposed Functionality

Update documentation to explain a better story around the GC features (backups, intended, compliance) and the ability to use the features or to ignore/not use the features.

Use Case

Ensure users understand this application has multiple features and they're all interchangeable.

Examples I'd be interested in generally is how to use external backup and/or intended repositories to do compliance with GC.
