Software Feature License Management

Environment

  • Nautobot version: ^3.5
  • nautobot-plugin-device-lifecycle-mgmt version: ^1.0

Proposed Functionality

Many vendors use software licenses to manage the enablement of features on their platforms. Visibility of the licenses and their supported lifespan would be beneficial.

Reporting capability on the features in use and expiration dates would be very useful.

@progala @bradh11 would be a good idea to chat with @abates for the software license extension he has created. It would be great in lifecycle management.

what would be the difference between a contract and a license? I mean, what if contract has a type for defining as a license? what attributes are missing?
