Book history at times goes empty, but showing count correctly

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Unfortunately I don't have exact steps to reproduce the problem, might be 
related to starting a game which almost freezed the device. Only taking out the 
SD card couple of times allowed to get to home screen. After reboot Book 
History works again.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is to see the list of books once clicked Book History. In home 
page Book History shows the number correctly, but once clicked it is empty.
