did you ever fix this? i'm getting the same issue. nevermind, it is answered in #793 (requires python 3.11)

I compiled the correct installation for Streamrip 2.0.5 2025-02 to make it work under Windows
-
Install Python 3.11 (and not 3.12 or greater!)
-
Install ffmpeg
-
Install git with "winget install --id Git.Git -e --source winget"
-
Add "C:\Program Files\Git" to the path
-
pip3 install git+https://github.com/nathom/streamrip.git@dev
-
Now check your version of aiohttp and make sure it's 3.9.5: pip3 list
-
If it's higher than 3.9.5, then downgrade by: pip3 install aiohttp==3.9.5.
Also please be aware that at this moment streamrip gets download errors if quality 3 or 4 is not available. To circumvent you must use "-q 2" to select quality 2. Sadly this downgrades all downloads to quality 2 but at least it works.
Examples rip -q 2 search tidal artist "Artist Name" rip -q 2 search tidal track "Song Name"

Had the same issue on a new install. I found out that aiohttp 3.10.0 on Windows is the issue. Downgrade it to 3.9.5
pip3 install aiohttp==3.9.5
Thanks pro, soled my problem
