[BUG] Error fetching metadata. "No result matching given argument"

Describe the bug

Use file as the ids source. Why the request error must be terminated by throwing an exception, and why the exception cannot be logged and proceed to the next one. Imagine if there were a thousand ids in there, and 100 of them were spread around and had errors, The status code 500 thrown by the api, for example, is not a network error, but an error code returned as a result.
