eww desktop window always fullscreen

I’m trying to make dashboard using eww but when creating a window using the “desktop” type, it is always fullscreen no matter what dimensions i use in my eww.yuck. If I add "wm-ignore" it'll always be on top of every window, but is shaped correctly.

I tried using openbox instead and its shaped and placed properly

I'll check it out but I believe it handles desktop windows as the spec says but I'll need to double check.

Checking https://specifications.freedesktop.org/wm-spec/1.3/ar01s05.html#id-1.6.7 does give an example of a desktop window using the whole screen but not that it is required, perhaps dk should avoid touching desktop windows. This can be easily changed, but dk has always behaved this way and I'm good friends with an eww user and they have had no issues, perhaps I could link their configs?
