@kentrussell any update from Christian? EDIT: I found out that there's an open issue about this bug on drm/amd (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/2991), so I pinged him [there](https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/2991#note_2205612).

I guess enabling this option could still verify the signature to ensure the existing file is correct.
