use pytest
looks like you use unittest or nose, which is quite cumbersome.
https://pytest.org/ is way more comfortable and easier to use and helps lazy coders by having to type less. :-)
pytest can even run existing unittest style tests and you can use it together with tox to test on multiple python versions.
I'm open to using other testing tools\frameworks but I doubt this is something I'm going to spend time on myself (both used to unittest and don't really see it as that much typing), if you\anyone else feels like stepping up and adding support for other testing frameworks it will be appreciated & merged.
Having less boilerplate is only one of the advantages, maybe just read about it and try it - most people like it and never look back.
Maybe down the line I will change my mind but for now if you\someone else wishes to add pytest support I'm fine with merging it in but I'm not going to personally spend my time on it.
currently i am busy enough with my projects.
guess i'll follow your project for a while to see how it develops, the basic goals it tries to solve are interesting.
