[Help Wanted] Some common test cases need to be added for quality assurance

This project is being used more and more by other libraries, and for a little sense of purpose :) , I think it's time to add some test cases, and would any volunteers like to be contributors to this effort ?

Some suggestions:

1. use @testing-library/react to implement
2. add test cases for common scenarios
3. override react-router versions 4 and 5
4. override react 16/17/18 major versions
