QUESTION/REQUEST: Hover thumbnails?

It would be nice if there were a way to define a :hover thumbnail separately of a thumbnail.

For example if I have a full size GIF, I would like the thumbnail to be a tiny, optimized, static JPG but when mousing over it, I would like it to be a tiny preview version of the GIF.

Is this possible somehow currently and I've missed it? If not, consider this a request.

Guess you could add a data attribute and then add some custom jquery in the code to pull in those images
