Version 1.4.0: Could not find EIO.dll in the "WinAMDTweak" directory!

Open bryanjs opened this issue 5 years ago • 10 comments

I just updated to version 1.4.0 and upon first startup, it showed these errors:

2019-06-28 08:25:24: <error> Could not find EIO.dll in the "WinAMDTweak" directory!
2019-06-28 08:25:24: <error> Could not find EIO.dll in the "WinAMDTweak" directory!

The file is clearly in the directory, so I'm not sure why it's saying it can't find the file. I am running Nanominer as an administrator. Running on Windows 10.

Are IOMap64.sys IOMap.sys files located in WinAMDTweak directory too?

Yes, they are.

Getting the same error as @bryanjs using nanominer version 1.5.0 Seems to occur when starting miner following a windows 10 rig crash.

Getting the same error as @bryanjs using nanominer version 1.5.3 on a rig with Windows 10 Pro and three cards: 1x AMD RX570 and 2x RX580. IOMap64.sys IOMap.sys files are located in WinAMDTweak directory.

In my case, the error appears when running nanominer the first time as admin after the rig reboot.

Having same eio.dll missing error. I tried unblocking all files in the Nanominer folder and memTweak folder. Running as admin with memTweak=1, I got no eio.dll error and no crashes

Thanks I'll give this a try. I have been getting the error also. but only 1 out 3 startups

After working with my rigs for several months, my method is this: Open as admin, close nanominer immediately if i see the error, then restart as admin, %90 of the time it runs w/ no error.

I suspect that DLL has some dependency on a service running and that if the miner is started before that dependency is ready, the error will occur.
