Improve Medium embeds on all pages

Open zhyatt opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Currently the embeds pulled from Medium grab the first content in the <article> tag it seems, instead of the meta description field (which has already been completed on all pages). This leads to some confusing preview text on some pages where callouts or other items are shown at the top of the page.

This goal of this issue is to adjust the pages by either adding a short summary of the page to the top or moving down any callouts below more helpful content that already exists near the top for pulling (where applicable).

I would like to help with this. Where are the pages?

@seyiade50 I haven't validated this is still the case now. If you have a chance to test out a docs page embed into Medium and see it is still behaving as I noted above, perhaps you can help us find the right way to address the issue.
