[FEATURE REQUEST] PLEASE ADD SEARCH IN PLAYLISTS I BEG
Please add this, the app is perfect except for this. Please add it and itll be the perfect music player
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I have a huge playlist and have organized the songs in a particular way. When I want to find a song, I cant search it in the playlist to find it easily, and if I search it in the normal songs menu, it only plays that song and not the rest of the songs in the playlist I have organized.
Describe the solution you'd like Similar to Spotify, add the ability to search in a playlist and then play the song searched and all songs after it in the playlist. So if I search and play a song in a playlist, itll be like i manually scrolled and clicked the song. Describe alternatives you've considered Manually searching through my 1000 song playlist to find the song I want. Additional context PLEASE ADD THIS, itll make the app perfect, I love everything about the app I just need this one feature. Apps Spotify, Metrolist, Deezer.

Why? is it that hard of a feature to add? Spotify does it well. I have a huge playlist and its sorted in a particular order. When I want to play that song, I also want all the songs after it in the playlist to play, like I just manually scrolled and played the song, it just makes it more convient
I follow the development of almost all apps that use the YT API, and with 1–2 exceptions, search is the biggest problem everywhere. Maybe Muzza and Metrolist are the only ones where you can properly search within playlists; in every other case, either the feature is missing or it doesn’t work. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to implement (I think it has a technical obstacle, otherwise it would exist everywhere), and I also don’t get why this isn’t a basic feature in every player so people can find their own lists. The playlist search in the original YT/Music app is also unusable; it’s not user-friendly at all.
That’s exactly why I’ve been looking for a proper player for months, but it’s not easy to find one.
This namida is basically insanely good, but if I can’t search within my own list, then unfortunately it is an instant deal-breaker for me :/

I have the same request. It's a nightmare to find the song I want and start playing from there every time in my playlist of up to 600 songs. I noticed that when adding songs to a playlist, duplicate additions are not allowed—but this restriction doesn’t apply to the currently playing queue. Why can’t we simply search within my saved playlists? There won’t be duplicate songs there anyway.
@DiWu17 duplicates are still allowed, it just asks u what to do when u add duplicates
anyways i will eventually add a search there, no eta yet
@DRYN07 idk why it doesn't exist in other apps but for namida i just didn't think about it, usually when u want to find a music u just search for it. and when u want to play ur playlist, u go there and play it. its the first time i know ppl can search in the playlist for that purpose
will eventually add it as said, it should be for all sublists (except history/most played) not just playlists. might take some time tho
Putting a search bar in the playlist view would mess with the UI, but scrolling through a large playlist is also a big pain.
So, what if we grab the filter playlist component from all playlist screen and place it in the playlist view like this?
I think this will address both the issues at once.
@010101-sans actually good solution, was thinking about adding the filter icon in new line and then display info (like last edited etc) but it might be better to just place it there, will see

🎉 searching for tracks in playlists/albums/artists/genres is added and will be available next beta v5.5.3+ https://github.com/namidaco/namida-snapshots/releases
searching then playing a track will then play it with the whole playlist (not just the search results)
