[FEATURE REQUEST] Option to change displayed artist seperator

Open R4ZXRN3T opened this issue 5 months ago • 1 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]

I like to tag my music with seperate tag fields for each artist. Namida also correctly displays that. My only issue is, that the seperator used for this is a semicolon. This also interferes with last.fm as the artists are transmitted differently.

Describe the solution you'd like A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.

I would either want the seperator to be changed to a normal comma, or a seperate option, probably best in the 'Configuration' submenu

Describe alternatives you've considered A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

My alternative would be to retag all my music, but that's too time consuming for me and defeates all the advatages that multiple artist fields give me

Additional context Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

Apps Add any other known apps/service that does this in a good way

Most streaming sites implement their own display scheme. Other android music players such as foobar2000 and oto music display it with commas, as I like it.

i mean yeah they are still split, but when displayed we show the original text

for the exact reason that changing all separators to comma for example would make ur artists title look inconsistent

for example

  • Camo & Crooked, Ayah Marar & Metrik

would turn into

  • Camo, Crooked, Ayah Marar, Metrik

so yah i don't think its possible or a good idea (was like that in older versions tho)
