TX decode failed (name transactions on Trezor)
When trying to buy a name, I get the following error:
The server returned an error when broadcasting the transaction. Consider connecting to a different server, or updating electrum. TX decode failed
I don't know if it is relevant that it is from a wallet that is tied to a Trezor, and the Trezor actually signed the transaction. As the message requested, I tried all available servers.
Probably the use of the Trezor is the issue. The Trezor firmware doesn't support name transactions at the moment, so whatever signed transaction the Trezor is returning isn't likely to be correct. @awilfox is planning to work on adding name transaction support to the Trezor firmware, so hopefully this will be resolved in the foreseeable future.
I have the same issue I don’t know what to do

matejcik Developer 8d Hello, the first step here would be to contact authors of Electrum-NMC. The error messages are popping up in Electrum-NMC, right? It seems that the app is somehow mishandling results coming from Trezor.
I already said what the cause is. I'm not sure why bumping the issue is expected to solve anything or what you hope to accomplish by doing so. We previously had a developer lined up to do the necessary firmware work, but she got disrupted by the war in Ukraine and remains unavailable. If anyone else would like to do the firmware development, they are welcome to contact us; if not, please don't pollute this thread with "me too" comments that just generate unwanted notifications for subscribers.
