Error: Invalid Request
What happend?
You should respond to reCAPTCHA's question. If reCAPTCHA is not displayed, reload the web page.
Even if you reCAPTCHA it will get the same error. Just me? (I use Google Translate)
The website http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ is no longer working. Even when you enter the reCAPTCHA correctly, it always says "Error: Invalid Request" with the web page title "api (240x80)", even though the input image is not this size.
This never happened before the reCAPTCHA thing.
I think this issue depends on the execution environment. In my test env(Linux + chrome or firefox), it works.
- Are you using addons such as adblock?
- Are you using VPN? (reCAPTCHA seems to check the IP address)
- What OS and browser do you use?
I'm using Android Chrome.
Is reCAPTCHA displayed? Can you click it? It seems that reCAPTCHA does not support old mobile browsers. https://support.google.com/recaptcha/?hl=en#6223828
It happens on the desktop/laptop browsers: Google Chrome and Firefox, both the latest desktop versions.
I have AdBlock extension installed in them, yes. But no VPN.
It would be great if you could put a notice on the website to say "This website does not work with AdBlock. Please disable it." or something like that.
@Bangpaje I've changed some settings of reCAPTCHA, and updated JQuery. If the problem persists, I will test it on the android emulator.
@ozmium I am not familiar with adblock, does adblock block reCAPTCHA?
It's still not working for me, at all, with any desktop browser. Even when I disable the AdBlock extension, I still get the same error every time.
@nagadomi AdBlock is a browser extension ("add-on") that blocks advertisements/'ads' on websites. There are 2 versions: AdBlock and AdBlock Plus. They do not block reCAPTCHA.
Google Chrome: Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit) Mozilla Firefox: Version 54.0.1 (64-bit)
Update: Firefox works but Chrome does not.
However, the waifu website has never worked properly with Firefox, especially regarding saving the converted image. It's virtually impossible to save the output image using Firefox. (Even if you manage to save it, it will be a brighter image with the wrong color profile). So I normally use Google Chrome with waifu website, so that the original image colors are preserved properly.
same problem, getting invalid request. Captcha is displayed and confirmed, convert button loads the image, but just can't save it. Firefox 54 (64bit) Linux Mint 18.2 adblock disabled
ps. never had problems with FF before, not even with different colors
convert button loads the image, but just can't save it.
Press CTRL+S to save the image. "Save Image" menu does not work because Firefox try to retrieve the image without parameters using GET Request. I think it's a issue of Firefox but it was never fixed.
Press CTRL+S to save the image.
This is what I'm getting at, it just doesn't work anymore, just get the "error: invalid request" image. And if clicking on download instead of convert, nothing happens, just the main page reloads.
hmm, it works on Ubuntu 16.04 Firefox 54.0 (64-bit)
And if clicking on download instead of convert, nothing happens, just the main page reloads.
I fixed it probably. Press CTRL+F5 to reload.
Update: It seems to be working fine now, in Google Chrome and Firefox. Thank you! 👍
In latest version of Opera it gives me this
Edit: Using the Convert button gave me that but the Download button gave me the right image
The "Error: Invalid Request" happens to me now, on both Convert and Download button. What should I do?
It is an error of reCAPTCHA (I'm not a robot). If it happens even if you fill in the answer, it is probably an issue of the browser.
It happens on both of my Firefox and Chrome.
Then, it is probably a network problem, your network address is certified as spam from Google. https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/86640
Still happens... I need to retrying to finally get the file...' And I'm so tired of re-captcha... wasting many time on choosing auto etc... Why... Can you know any good Waifu2x with multiple upload? Upscaling with 1 pic is PAIN.
