Feature Request: Add parameter to show coordinates and horizontal/vertical lines while selecting a point or region

I would like to suggest as an improvement the possibility to show coordinates and horizontal/vertical lines while selecting a point or region. Since it might not be obvious what I mean, let me show in this video what I have in mind.

The possibility to see the coordinates while the selection occurs would be great: in this way it is very easy to avoid even numbers, etc. And the possibility to see the horizontal/vertical lines would also be really useful: one can be sure in advance of what will fit inside the selected rectangle.
