MODS: Modded characters are "lost" during load

The game will always "eat" one modded character. After subscribing and downloading, I enable the mod in the modding menu, but when I go look at the drop down menu for Kobold type in Options > Kobold, only 1 choice is present and it seems to be an issue with sorting. If the model name begins with a letter before "K", only Kobold is listed but it will be the model of the modded character. If the model name begins with a letter after "K", Kobold is still the only name listed but the sample model will be that of the Kobold, instead. When more models are added, different models will disappear, and I haven't figured out a pattern yet.
