2g Network Failing to connect to market and browser

Im using the [ROM] HO!NO! Mod CM7.2.0-RC0 ICS Edition

I live in India and have chosen the default baseband. I have been experiencing this problem since a couple of months now. I have been trying really hard and searching for a solution but none worked.

I do not have 3g. But my 2g network was reasonably good a few months back but since I updated to the newer versions of CM it has just been failing to connect. Even the Android Market always ends up prompting "Connection Timed Out"

Please help.
