Auto highlight contents on edit

In Excel, when I begin editing the contents of a cell, it will automatically wipe out the previous content, replacing it with what I type. In react-datasheet, all new keystrokes are appended to the previous content, unless the old content is specifically highlighted. I was wondering if there is a way to replicate Excel's behavior.
