Notification to users on upcoming device updates
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I think one of the necessary features that can help keeping users informed of future device updates would be helpful for all parties. The users would know in advance of when their connection could be interrupted briefly. This allows them to plan their VPN usage accordingly. The hosts can keep users informed in advance and therefore provide a more streamlined notification of any updates.
Describe the solution you'd like
I think if we can provide users with a set of standard notification such as, "This VPN node will be going through an update between this time
and this time.
Thank you for your patience." I think even something simple as that, will help keeping users informed of any updates. It would also allow users to maybe stick with the node that they like. It keeps it simple for everybody. The host should be able to select from a list of standard notifications to display to users. Users should be able to see it clearly on their dashboard, if they access their dashboard.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Right now there's no other option other than just hoping that the update goes as quickly as possible and that users would return.
Additional context
I think once a user is connected to the node, then there should be a notification pop up similar to the ones on the host dashboard that tells them that an update is available but for the user would be that there's an impending update coming. This will allow users to plan their usage accordingly.
I think this should be an option in the settings for each node as people will update at different times.
I plan on moving mine yto another server that's not as active as the one that's its on now because the bandwith on its network connection is saturated.
It would be awesome to be able to share this information with my node users, I also have a 2 way ips system installed, blocks malicious websites etc, it would be great if users that use my nodes dns have that information as well so they can choose what node they want to use etc
