What to do about ageing Foundation toolchain
We're pinned to the final Foundation 4 release, 4.3.2, which relies on old unsupported things like Ruby sass and compass.
We'll probably hit a point sometime in the future when this becomes a problem - even if its just in terms of maintaining somewhere that can run these steadily ageing components in a build pipeline to generate the CSS.
With the caveat that I'm not hugely familiar with these tools, upgrading to Foundation 5 might be feasible and I think includes an option to use libsass with grunt rather than compass and Ruby sass, but it seems jumping past this to Foundation 6 is likely to be a lot of work (see here some some old discussion on the topic).
It feels like we should have a ticket for this, although I'm not sure what our realistic options are for now other than to continue to maintain the existing toolchain.
