Surfacing requests with lots of followers
- Make it generally possible to order lists of requests by number of followers
- Have a page listing recent successful requests ordered by number of followers
While I get the impression following others' requests isn't a widely used feature, perhaps it would be if the effect of following was to get the request promoted and given greater visibility.
This could be a way to identify good, or notable, uses of the services.
They do this on AskTheEU.org, although I think it is all-time, rather than recent, since the requests listed are old:

That reminded me that the suggestion of highlighting requests with the most followers was mentioned on an issue for improving the WhatDoTheyKnow front page:

I don't think that the current top tracked requests are ones that we'd particularly want to highlight.
