DE0 Nano pin locations slightly off

Open LeHack opened this issue 8 years ago • 1 comments

Hi, I wanted to add the locations of the 2x13 pin header (GPIO 2) at the side of the board and later send you the updated footprint via a PR. However while measuring the pin dimensions I noticed that they are slightly off. Here's what I found:

  • the measured mounting pin diameter is 6.3mm according to my measurements while the project has 6.6mm
  • the measured distance between the 2x20 GPIO and the mounting pin is 3.65mm while the project has 2.89mm
  • the measured width of the 2x20 GPIO pin header is 50.35mm while the project has 50.57

So either I'm measuring things incorrectly (I don't have a lot of experience, so it could be it) or the board itself is slightly off (I've got it from Terasic). To my current needs this is not a real issue but the question is whether it will be of any use if I add my (slightly different) changes. I could try and correct the GPIO 0 and 1 dimensions while I'm on it. Another question is if such slight differences are actually an issue to anyone using this in their project.

Created a pull request with an updated version of the module and footprint: #5
