FEATURE REQUEST: Ability to Run UpdateTool Remotely!

It’d be great if this program could be ran remotely, rather than requiring it to be on the same server as the PMS.

A lot of people have Appboxes, which makes it impossible to be utilized, as the direct server is typically inaccessible.

A lot of issues would be solved if the Plex API was a tad more advanced. The main problem is that this tool only works since it can directly access the SQLite database storing all of the metadata.

Unless the Plex API supports the read / write operations that this tool uses this won't happen in the future.

Some fields modified by this tool are not writable through the normal API.
