[BUG] Uninstaller doesn't remove ml4w apps

Open i-use-arch-btw-lol opened this issue 9 months ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug

I'm running KDE Plasma 6.3, and when I check Simple Application Launcher after logging out of hyprland and uninstalling ml4w-hyprland with the official uninstaller, guess what I found--

THE ML4W APP SUITE

It says that it removes the ml4w apps, but they persist, and not only that, but the also STILL LAUNCH.

Any way to fix this, including where the apps are stored and how to nuke them, would be great. Thanks, and I hope that this issue gets fixed.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install ml4w-hyprland from the AUR
  2. Run the installer to the maximum (all apps are also installed)
  3. Run the uninstaller and nuke as much as possible
  4. You should still see the ml4w apps lying around (at least, in the KDE menu)
  5. When you click on one it still launches

Expected behavior

I expected the uninstaller to... actually uninstall?

This is correct. The uninstaller doesn’t remove any app. But will look into it. Removing the apps that are strictly connected with the dotfiles would makes sense.

So anyway, before the uninstaller update, how would you remove the apps?

Uninstalling the ml4w-hyprland package doesn't work (like in AUR) The uninstaller doesn't remove them and I also can't find where the binaries (I assume they're binaries; there are no .desktop files in /usr/share/applications) are... so how do you get rid of them?

Also, to everybody who is affected, just run this command:

flatpak uninstall hyprlandsettings
