[BUG] Matugen & Wallust Not Generating Output files.

Open Affanmm opened this issue 7 months ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

Background:

I recently updated to the latest version of the dotfiles from a previous one, which used pywal instead of the newly introduced alternatives. On the initial boot, I could only see the wallpaper, no waybar, nor the new dock.

Troubleshooting:

Somehow, while digging into the ML4W app scripts, I opened the ML4W sidebar app. There was a toggle for Waybar, switched off. I toggled it ON and it worked, the waybar is now working, but only with some themes ( Starter, Minimal, Mixed ). I am using the mixed for now, but the colors do not update. Same goes for the TERMINAL, no color schemes.

So, I ran the "ml4w" command in the terminal to look at the log data while the app was running. From the welcome app, I opened the waybar settings. In the log, I saw an error that the "colors-wallust.conf" and "colors-matugen.conf" were not found.

I further found that neither of these packages was generating output files.

Steps to reproduce

I ran the "ml4w" command in the terminal to look at the log data while the app was running. From the welcome app, I opened the waybar settings. In the log, I saw an error that the "colors-wallust.conf" and "colors-matugen.conf" were not found.

Expected behavior

The waybar theme colors should update with the wallpaper. Firefox colors should update with the wallpaper. Terminal & Rofi colors should update.
