[BUG] Waybar Colors / Rofi Colors not found

Open RealDapi opened this issue 7 months ago • 6 comments

Describe the bug

Since I updated to the newest Version, my waybar cant launch, because it tries to find some ".config/waybar/color.css" instead of the pywal colors. Also my rofi app isnt working properly either. I tried to reinstall ml4w multiple times, its still the same. Only going reverting back to a much older version fixed this.

Steps to reproduce

Start hyprland with ml4w dotfile

Expected behavior

The waybar should load normally

Rofi should use colors instead of white

I got the waybar back to functioning by copying the ~/.cache/pywal/colors-waybar.css file into ~/.config/waybar

trying the same with the rofi files is getting close to fixing it, but i still cant see what I am selecting in the App

Can you please run ml4w-hyprland-setup again? This should fix the issue.

I'm facing the same issue with rofi, colors.rafi is declared in config.rasi & config-themes.rasi but doesn't exist. Running ml4w-hyprland-setup again didn't fix the issue.

I also have the same issue with Waybar, Rofi, Nautilus, Firefox. Everything that is supposed to use the new Matugen and Wallust packages. Wallust is supposed to create a wallust-colors.conf in the kitty config directory but there is no output. Same goes for Matugen. I have reinstalled the dotfiles several times by now and it is still not working.

My waybar was also not working. Somehow, I opened the ML4W sidebar while digging into the scripts, and from the sidebar, I toggled the Waybar, which was currently off. It fixed the issue with the launch, but not with the colors. Only some themes that do not use the colors.css are working.

As a temporary solution I've restored the backup folders ml4w-hyprland-setup did for .config/waybar and .config/rofi in the meantime.

I Solved it. 😎 It is due to a missing line in the co fig of waypaper. Go to /home/.config/waypaper folder and add this line to the config.ini file:

post_command = $HOME/.config/hypr/scripts/wallpaper.sh $wallpaper

After this change the wallpaper once and restart the system and everything should work fine. 🙂

this line is present in my configuration, sadly it is not the cause of the multiple waybars being spawned on login

Then atleast update the title of the issue.
