[BUG] Command line almost invisible

Open cclamb opened this issue 9 months ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug

In ZSH, the command line when typing is very, very hard to see. I'm sure there's a setting I can use to increase the brightness of the command line when typing (e.g., prior to the latest release it was clear - red if the command didn't resolve, green otherwise) now I can barely see anything. I'm hoping the default can revert to the previous version perhaps, and you can let me know what I need to do to configure the command line colors in this case. Thanks! I do love ml4w :-)

Steps to reproduce

Open ZSH, type a command, see the brightness.

Expected behavior

Colors are brighter

@cclamb Can you share a screenshot?

Are you using the latest zsh configurations from 2.9.8.6?

Sure am - I'm not sure which colors are used (I can see that they're the last two in the info banner when I open a new shell). It seems in some cases, with particular backgrounds, they are very faint. I do see how you're generating the colors from the background, but can't see where they're loaded. Happy to help with this if you can give me a pointer to how it works.
