Probably same as https://github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles/issues/717, you could try a re-installation of the dotfiles to fix your error.

Cheers, StudioKeys

I'm having similar problems, reinstalling doesn't help.

I have the same issue, and reinstalling the dotfiles didn’t solve it. I had to revert to the previous version 2.9.7.4, which works perfectly for me.

The flatpak installation fails for me Error pulling from repo: GPG verification enabled, but no signatures found (use gpg-verify=false in remote config to disable)

This is from the wiki. You can go to the release and download the source for any of the previous versions. Extract and navigate to dotfiles-2.9.7.4/bin and run ml4w-hyprland-setup https://github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles/wiki/Update#update-from-previous-versions-older-than-296

Ahorts avatar Feb 13 '25 06:02 Ahorts

I tried again and now everything is working fine.

Ahorts avatar Feb 16 '25 05:02 Ahorts

Dont know. I rolled back to 2.9.7.4 and locked ML4W from updating. Happy with 2.9.7.4, lost 4 working days :((

I'm encountering this issue on a clean arch install.

I think it has something to do with XDG desktop portal because the service used to be running fine but broke after installing ML4W:

$ systemctl status --user xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland

Never heard of this particular one though. I'll keep an eye out for any solutions.

Update: I reinstalled Arch, the only difference being I didn't preinstall default hyprland (the docs mention to try out vanilla hyprland before installing ML4W). Now everything works out of the box!
