Open aram-otf opened this issue 3 months ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug

GTK Themes don't changes back to dark theme although I selected "Prefer Dark Theme". It see rarely on different apps and I can't see fine the icons of such software.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to ml4w sidebar app.
  2. Go down to theme arrows
  3. Select GTK Theme
  4. Go to "Color scheme" and check the option "Prefer Dark"
  5. Apply changes
  6. And see that the results don't work.

Expected behavior

GTK themes changes color themes correctly without problems.

Linux 6.16.8-arch3-1

Additional context

This GTK theme doesn't affect to nautilus and dolphin files manager. As you can see, dock icons see a little ugly with a thin white border/shadow. When I need to select an image to upload on internet for example, I keep seeing the UI White Theme although I select Dark theme.

In the ml4w sidebar app, there is a theme switcher button on the top left. Press that to switch between light and dark theme. It will work well.

The theme switcher works correctly without problems. But the problem remains. When I switch to light theme, icons and GTK settings change to light theme. But if I switch to dark theme, UI ml4w changes but GTK settings not. And sometimes appears "ml4w sidebar app doesn't work correctly forcing to terminate or wait." (When I switch to dark theme, because I think a disengagement with GTK settings).

Perhaps it's problem of GTK or nwg-look.
