[BUG] Attempt to switch from tiling windows to floating windows style on Hyprland with ML4W 2.9.9.1 Dotfiles fails

Open dbaxps2024 opened this issue 6 months ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug

The signs «^» - floating and «v» - tiling style in top line of Hyprland with ML4W 2.9.9.1 Dotfiles (ML4W Welcome Panel) are supposed to perform mentioned switch . No luck with expected switch so far

Steps to reproduce

Deploy Hyprland with ML4W with 2.9.9.1 Dotfiles as second DE on openSUSE Tumbleweed or Mangaro KDE 24.0.7 or CachyOS 082425 . Then reboot and select Hyprland option from SDDM logging prompt. Perform testing of switch from "v" to "^" . Style of window's pops up keeps staying "tiling" no matter of setting up "^" or "v" .

Expected behavior

Switch works changing between tiling and floating windows style.

Thanks for your feedback. This is something that doesn't come directly from hyprland but from the theme. I see a chance to hide the buttons maybe with an environment variable as described here: https://www.reddit.com/r/hyprland/comments/1kw2xnc/how_to_get_rid_of_window_decorationclose_minimize/

Let's see... I will test.

As of now Cosmic Beta DE has just a minor issues detected during testing phase. As soon as they will fix them Cosmic DE will go to RC phase. Cosmic Beta DE is supported by CachyOS, which allow a straight forward setup via it's own installer and demonstrate an excellent performance as well as on top setup for Fedora 43 and openSUSE Tumbleweed.
