It is a bit strange that when I pinged www.google.co.uk, I've got 209.85.202.94 which seems to be an IP in US but not in your CIDRs files. And the ping returned with a 20ms latency which converts to a maximum of 6000km of distance and doesn't make much sense if it was really replied by a remote server in the US. Tranceroute even showed some midpoint latency of 10ms from some US IPs such as 108.170.246.143.

  1. Currently I skipped official Google IP ranges. This ip is in 209.85.128.0/17, which is one of the official Google IP ranges (not Google Global Cache IP).
  2. That server is geographically located in the UK, not in the US. You can also try 108.177.125.94, this one is located in Hong Kong (seemed to be in the US, too). Google will choose the best (nearest) server to let you connect to.
