I'm working on a feature like this: https://github.com/onyxcodes/mydraft-cc-ui/issues/1.

It allows to export current diagram to a file .draft through a new action on the export menu, and it can load it from a custom load action.

Still need some improvement: I don't understand the naming convention for new diagrams. Right now when a new diagram get exported it will save it as 'diagram.draft'. I was thinking of triggering the save action before exporting

When a diagram is saved to the server it is written as a sequence of events to keep the change history. You also need a new format.
