Does this also affect IPB 3? Otherwise we can close this as we don't support IPB 2 anymore.

Does this apply to 1.8? As the 1.6 Merge System will receive no more updates keeping a 1.6-specific issue on the tracker is unnecessary.

I'm pretty sure I've added a lot of html checks to the merge system lately so probably this doesn't affect IPB 3 anymore. Going to check those columns later so keeping this issue for now
