Feat: Increase Grid Size / More Granular Grid
I have a tablet I use at the forward steering position, with a map and some key info from the motor and plotter. But the snap to grid function does not play nice with this. You can see on the screenshot that the height is either too large so they take up too much real estate (most of them here) or two small (0 knots - the boat is moored). I would like to have them somewhere in betwen. Is it possible to turn off the snap or preferably make the grid more fine grained?
Sadly grid snapping can't be turned off. Maybe in the future the grid definition might change but it's not planned at the moment.
The only suggestion I can offer, if of any value, is to reduce the amount of gauge in the screen and try and only have essential widgets or build separate dashboard.
@godind Thanks for answering so fast! And that's too bad. All the numbers I have there are necessary to me when I'm at the forward steering position. Can I re-install with NPM in some way the version before the big chance a few months back? What would that version be?
@Mastiffen Version 4 will still have grid snapping but the grid snap points size will be halves offering greater flexibility.
