WMDE support
@AdamWill @marcfrederick at MUDCon last week I spoke with a dev from WMDE about the possibility of WMDE providing us some support in the form of having her write code for us.
The main thing that seems needs to happen is for us to write down exactly what we'd want help with. My current list is:
- #320 async interface
- #350 improve test coverage
- rework Listing class to improve performance significantly (particularly when working with
for page in ...the generator is currently super inefficient) - some better support for user interactions like sending emails
What are your thoughts? I can also do a more synchronous chat with you if you want, I'm in the mediawiki discord server as @River if you want to dm
Extending test coverage is my top priority as I think we should have as close as possible to full test coverage before changing other stuff, as far as possible. I have not had time to work further on it yet, though :( Some help would be awesome indeed.
I don't need the async stuff, but it does seem like a thing that would be useful to other folks.
