I guess I don't really know how SPM works, but I would think that at the group level it would write out a file that has the actual voxels included?...

Otherwise a good heuristic would be e.g. voxels that are 0 (or maybe NaN) in the residual variance map, which I _think_ SPM writes to ReML.img?
