Also in the documentation the java version of this call is not mentioned:

Call checkboxGroup.selectByLabel("Item https://github.com/mvysny/karibu-testing/issues/1", "Item https://github.com/mvysny/karibu-testing/issues/3") to select items with given labels (since KT 1.3.15).
