Can't select audio source

BeatDrop works if I play sounds in a media player etc. but does not capture the mic input (even when listening to the device is enabled. I am trying to use this as a standalone on a PC for visuals with the audio piped from another PC. Audio is being played via the same speaker out as all the other software. I have tried swapping Windows to Stereo Mix but that does not help.

Any suggestions ?

Maybe too late, but you could try NestDrop, a new UI based on BeatDrop, with added features like able to select the audio interface (for the midnight edition only).. www.nestimmersion.ca/nestdrop
