Awesome addition would be built in location search when shopping, to automatically populate the Payee field. Digical Calendar app has it implemented :

Also Payees should have a default category: for example if I put "Chevron" as the payee, there's a huge chance this is for a Fuel expense. The thing could be configured manually or better, the software could just learn it from experience (ie "when putting Payee X and category field is empty, populate it with the most common associated category)
