Using Saml connection

I'm getting the following error and using SAML to connect - so I think it might be related to that connection. Has anyone experienced this before?

An error occurred (ValidationError) when calling the GetUser operation: Must specify userName when calling with non-User credentials
ERROR: failed to connect to AWS.
