Stop swipe between two side menus?

Currently, when using both the left and right side menus, an aggressive swipe out of one side menu causes the other menu to slide in, which is most of the time likely to be an unintended behavior, that can be disturbing to the user.

Is it possible to add a setting that allows the gesture to be stopped between views - ie. requiring a second swipe gesture to open the second menu, rather than carrying the momentum through to the other side?
