Spotify-Playlist does not appear in Spotify-App-Library after marking as favorite (again)
What version of Music Assistant has the issue?
2023.6.0b3
The problem
When unmarking a Spotify-Playlist as favorite in Music Assistant it disappears from "Your Library"->"Playlists" in Spotify (App and Web) which is as desired (i think), but when marking the Playlist as favorite in Music Assistant again, it does not get back to Spotify-Library (App and Web) even after syncing Spotify-Provider and restarting Music Assistant.
How to reproduce
Unmark a Spotify-Playlist as favorite in Music Assistant then mark it as favorite again.

Can you confirm what you see after re-favouriting (not a real word!) when you go to BROWSE>>SPOTIFY>>PLAYLISTS
Please confirm if what you see there is identical to what you see in the Spotify app.
Are you able to do a global search for the playlist and then try and favourite it that way? Or is that what you are doing when you say "when marking the Playlist as favorite in Music Assistant again"
Hello,
after re-favoriting i see the following in BROWSE>>SPOTIFY>>PLAYLISTS (14 Playlists), this is identical to Spotify-App:
I can go to PLAYLISTS in Music Assistant (URL: homeassistant:8095/#/playlists), here i can see all my playlists and even all the Spotify-Playlists (re-favorited) that are missing in Spotify-App. This is the place where i re-favorited them after un-favoriting.
The big problem is, that my playlists are missing in Spotify-App once i un-favorited them even after re-favoriting.
Hello, i am currently working on getting my spotify playlists back to the spotify app. Therefore i have to open every playlist in music assistant from playlist-view (URL: /playlists) and click on the spotify-link on bottom of "playlist-detail-view" (URL: "/playlists/library/XX"), which opens spotiry website, then i can click on the favorite-icon (heart-icon) in spotify-website (logged in) to get it back to my spotify app. but if it is a playlist i created my own the only way is to move it to a playlist folder and then remove it from folders again because for your own playlists there is no heart-icon within spotify. So i think it does not make any sense to remove your own playlists from favorites which removes it from your spotify app !
best regards Michael
I believe I understand the issue as you described it in your first post. This will get looked at in due course.
Actually there is a difference between marking as a favourite and "Adding to library". Can you please provide a detailed step by step of what you are doing.
We will close this soon due to no followup
Hello, here is my step-by-step:
- Add Spotify Music Provider with an account that already has Playlists (own created ones)
- Go to "Playlists" in Music Assistant and remove the "heart" from one of the Spotify Playlists
- Next Day set "heart" again for the same Playlist
This Playlist disappears from your Spotify App and Website. You lost that Playlilst in Spotify
Best Regards Michael
Ah! Thanks for that detailed explanation. The missing step in my test was the playlist that was already once in the library. This should be fixable
This one should be fixed in beta 130 but please confirm.
