I have found what might be a related isue. When pasting a passage into a different measure, the same kind of offsets occur, seemingly randomly. I did both the drag to copy and ctrl+c/ctrl+v method and it did the same random offsetting of the sticking letters, both upper and lower case.

Also, doesn't seem that I can upload a screen capture, showing the bug? There's just a regular screen shot instead. I copied the first system onto the second and you can see the offsets, same with the third where I did the click and drag copy/paste.

I'm on a Widows 11 system, so this isn't a OS issue.

GitHub definitely allows you to attach videos, but much more useful would be the actual score and precise steps to reproduce the probem - what specifically you are copying and where you are pasting it to.

No video necessary, I can reproduce that from scratch

I think dragging borks up the sticking placement somehow.

Copy/Paste and "R" don't seem to cause a problem, but dragging does

  1. Open Sticking test
  2. Confirm there is no issue with copy/paste or R
  3. Drag and drop music
  4. Sticking continues to be off centered from noteheads

In the video that I had tried to upload, as I mentioned, I had the probblem with both click and drag as well as copy/paste.

But after clicking and dragging and not before?

zacjansheski avatar Dec 08 '25 18:12 zacjansheski

I tried click and drag then copy/paste, copy/paste on it's own, the other direction. I can't seem to isolate the cause myself. And the sticking letters that got shifted were different every time as far as I could tell. I entered the stickings manually throughout each measure as well.

There doesn't appear to be an issue until click+drag is used, then the issue proliferates. I'll open this as a new log as think we will address this separately from the notehead issue.

I figured there might be a corrilation with the notehead issue, since it's a problem with allignment altering when you change something separate than the actual sticking text. Perhaps that solution will present itself as well.
